How does the AI plant diagnosis work?

Take or choose a clear photo of your plant. GardenGenius sends it securely to our AI service and returns an identification or a likely diagnosis with care suggestions. Results are informational only โ€” always verify with an expert before eating, handling, or treating a plant.

Why does the app ask for camera, photo, and location access?

Camera and Photos are used only when you scan a plant for diagnosis. Approximate location is used to show local weather and seasonal planting guidance. You can decline any of these and still use the rest of the app.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Open Settings โ†’ Apple ID โ†’ Subscriptions on your device to view, change, or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID, open GardenGenius, and use "Restore Purchases" on the paywall or in Settings. Your active subscription will be re-applied.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings โ†’ Profile โ†’ Delete Account in the app. This removes your account and associated personal data. You can also email us to request deletion.

Is my garden data backed up?

Yes. When you sign in, your gardens, journals, and reminders sync securely to the cloud so you can restore them on a new device.

How do I report objectionable content or a user in the community?

Use the report and block controls on any post or comment. We review reports and remove violating content, typically within 24 hours.
